Client Intake Process

For those interested in receiving counseling at our office, please note the following process.

Step 1: Schedule Phone Appointment
Before scheduling in-office appointments, the counselor would like to have a phone appointment with you. To schedule this appointment, simply call our office at 317.585.1845. The receptionist will be able to assist you.

Step 2: Meet the Counselor in Phone Appointment
At the scheduled time of your phone appointment, we ask that you call the office at 317.585.1845. Rev. Jeff Pokone will be expecting your call. The 15-minute phone appointment with the counselor allows him to better assess your needs and determine whether we may be able to assist.

Step 3: Begin the Process to Freedom
Based on the counselor's assessment of your needs and our availability to serve you, he may suggest one of the following:

Read a suggested resource
We have a listing of some recommended resources that we suggest to individuals seeking help. These resources will better equip those coming for counseling to understand our counseling model.

Schedule in-office appointment
We seek to provide 9-12 hours of counseling depending on the need of the counselee. For local counselees, this usually involves 1-2 hour appointments over a series of weeks. For counselees coming from outside of Indiana, we usually schedule a 3-4 day intensive. If additional counseling is needed beyond these sessions, we can schedule accordingly.

New clients must be prepared to wait 4-8 weeks from the time of their phone appointment to their in-office appointment. We will do our best to service you as soon as we are able.

Contact another counselor
If for some reason, we are not able to provide the help you need, we will do our best to refer you to someone who may be better able to assist you.
